It was a pleasure to have you visit us here in Brisbane, even if you did have some dramas. It's all good fodder for film-making and blogging at least. I think you need to include Kevin the crocodile and Jaap's deadly encounter with the snake in your blog/documentary.

Not to mention that mammoth spider over there... was that Sharan's house! Eeeep!

Sorry the disaster area hurried you off to the South before you got a chance to see the Multimedia Learning Centre at Bond University. And you were so close at Coolangatta. Now that I know how into gaming you are, I know you would have enjoyed seeing how important a part of this learning space gaming is. Playstations and Wiis are used by students in the computer gaming degrees but also by other students (and staff). The library has a small collection of games to support the teaching courses but students are able to bring in their own games to play on the equipment.

You'll have to make do with the photographs and info page.

In relation to the slow internet -- it's a pain alright. I listened to a podcast this morning about how the existing model for telecommunications is based on railways and that it is doomed. The speaker sees local ownership of network 'bits' as the way of the future. I wonder how far off that might be.

Happy travels.
