Finally it has really begun now. Left Schiphol Amsterdam and on a big blue bird we are flying to America. Lost Jaap and Geert in an, as it seems totally absorbing Die Hard movie. After somewhat undefinable airbus food I long for good spicey New York Food. Not a clue how long it is going to take us to get through customs and to the hotel, but we will have to check the equipment as the last recording had sound problems. We will grab a cab to Madison Square Garden to see Queens of the Stone Age. If there is any energy left after the concert and that midnight snack, we will probably finish Geert’s assumed private bottle of expensive malt whiskey. Tomorrow we will hopefully have a beautiful morning in New York, do some street interviews and shoot some nice shots of the town, after which we head out to meet and eat with John Blyberg and his family. Can not wait to see that man. The story has begun and will unroll itself in the next three weeks. I expect nothing but thrills, pushing us to the very limits of our librarian’s imagination.

Have a nice trip in the US! And I hope the single malt did taste well (Geert: Did you took the bottle of Scotch with you, which we gave you for your birthday? I’m glad it has a good puspose!)
Have fun!! And please say Hi from me to John
